The United Franchise Group (UFG), a $500 million West Palm Beach franchise development firm announced that CEO Ray Titus has been honored with the 2010 ‘Excalibur Business Leader of the Year’ award from the South Florida Sun Sentinel. The awards were presented during a special reception held at the Boca Raton Resort & Club on April 7, 2011.

The Excalibur Business Leader Award was created by the region’s daily newspaper to recognize business leaders across South Florida that have demonstrated success within the business community and a commitment to innovation, community contribution and growth. In addition to his business pursuits, Titus is also actively involved in several community organizations including the Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches and the Heath Evans Foundation, a charity that helps victims of sexual abuse.

“I am honored to accept this award on behalf of all of our employees at the United Franchise Group and proud to represent our company’s commitment and passion for innovation and social responsibility,” said Titus. “Serving our community and being at the forefront of our industry have always been a part of our core principles at UFG and this award is a true testament to our work.”

UFG is made up of industry-leading franchise brands including SIGNARAMA, the world’s largest full-service sign business; EmbroidME, the world’s largest embroidery franchise; and TransWorld Business Advisors, a business brokerage and franchise development services firm. In 2010, UFG developed nearly 200 new franchises and projects its growth trend to continue in 2011 with a goal of adding up to 300 new franchise locations around the world.
