UFG Cares Fund: A Lifeline for Employees and Franchisees in Crisis

At UFG, we often talk about being more than just a company—we’re a family. Families celebrate together, they grow together, and most importantly, they show up for one another when times get tough. That belief is at the heart of who we are, and it’s why we built UFG Cares.

Do you know the UFG Cares mission statement?

“Utilizing our brands to encourage, educate, and empower individuals to improve our world.”

At its core, this mission is about action. It’s about using our brands to make a difference in the communities where we live and work. Sometimes that looks like a Signarama stepping up after a natural disaster, just as Signarama NW San Antonio did by providing encouraging signs following the floods in Texas. It may look like The Great Greek offering free meals to healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Or it might be Transworld Business Advisors partnering with USA Pickleball to bring free pickleball clinics to high schoolers.

Every day, many of our franchise owners find ways to serve and support their local communities. And here at United Franchise Group headquarters, we strive to do the same right here in Palm Beach County. From our partnerships with the Education Foundation and Palm Beach County School District, to the work we do with the Titus Center for Franchising at Palm Beach Atlantic University, to our upcoming Founders Day celebrations—our mission guides how we give back.

With UFG Cares, we make it a point to center everything we do around our brands. It’s who we are.

But what happens when we combine the UFG Cares mission statement with the larger UFG mission statement?

Enter the UFG Cares Fund

The UFG Cares Fund was created to take care of our own family. It exists for corporate employees, franchise owners, and their team members—providing financial assistance in times of hardship or unforeseen circumstances.

We know that life happens. Hurricanes, illnesses, family emergencies, and unexpected expenses can place real financial stress on anyone. The UFG Cares Fund is here to help during those moments, with grants designed to provide quick and confidential support when it matters most.

To put it simply: the UFG Cares Fund is here, so no one in our family has to go through hard times alone.

Our Impact So Far

Launched at the 2024 UFG World Expo, the UFG Cares Fund has already made a difference—granting more than $10,000 in relief funds. We’ve also raised more than $50,000 in funds to date.

And this is just the beginning. As awareness grows and more corporate employees and franchise owners participate, we know this fund will continue to be a resource that strengthens and supports our UFG family for years to come.

A Story from Our Family

One of our corporate employees recently returned from a trip to discover their home infested with termites. The cost of tenting and treatment was a heavy burden, and they ended up paying for it with their credit card. When they learned about the UFG Cares Fund, they were “extremely relieved” and applied. Within three weeks, they received grant funding to help cover the expense.

They later shared:

“I had paid for the termite tenting with my credit card and was able to pay off the portion of the balance with the grant money. This is an extremely helpful resource available to the whole UFG family. If you need it, you should apply. Family is there to help, and this was a perfect example.”

While we hope no one in our UFG family ever faces financial hardship, the reality is that life is unpredictable. That’s why the UFG Cares Fund exists—not just for franchisees, but for all of us.

You can apply or donate today. Together, we care.
