The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill Reports Strong 2025 Franchise Growth

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill®, part of United Franchise Group (UFG), continued to strengthen its position in the fast-casual restaurant franchise space throughout 2025, closing the year with strong sales growth, new restaurant openings, and expanding demand from franchise owners and guests.

Strong 2025 Franchise Growth

In 2025, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill opened 20 new restaurants and reached nearly $100 million in systemwide sales. The brand also saw a 41% year-over-year increase in franchise sales, reflecting continued demand for its scalable Mediterranean fast-casual franchise model. Growth was concentrated in key markets including Florida, California, and Texas, while the brand also entered new states such as New Mexico and Wisconsin.

“In 2025 we continued to set the foundation and this year we’re on track to surpass 100 locations and $150 million in systemwide sales – milestones that reflect the strength of our franchisees and the discipline behind our growth,” said Bob Andersen, President of The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. “The Great Greek is designed to scale, with a model that delivers strong performance while protecting the quality and hospitality that define our guest experience. We know exactly what makes this brand successful, and we’re executing on that vision every day.”

Momentum Toward 100 Locations

The brand’s 2025 performance was also driven by diversified revenue streams, including a 63% increase in catering sales and strong guest response to limited-time menu offerings. Nearly half of current unit growth is coming from existing franchise owners, signaling confidence in the brand’s model and long-term opportunity.

“The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill represents exactly the kind of franchise opportunity today’s entrepreneurs are seeking – a differentiated, high-demand concept backed by a disciplined and scalable franchise model,” said Ray Titus, Chairman and CEO of UFG.

As The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill enters its 15th anniversary year, the brand is preparing for continued domestic growth and international expansion into Egypt, Australia, and Canada.
