Office Evolution expands its coworking footprint to Creve Coeur

Between its two locations in the St. Louis area, Office Evolution supports approximately 300 businesses, including many in the legal, financial, and medical industries.

It’s no secret that office life changed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, three years removed from the worst of the public health crisis, businesses and entrepreneurs still have an appetite for shared workspaces.

That’s why Office Evolution is expanding its services in the St. Louis region.

Office Evolution, a flexible workplace provider that accommodates entrepreneurs, growing businesses, and working professionals, recently opened a second metro area location in Creve Coeur. The Creve Coeur and Clayton offices are franchise locations in a nationwide network of more than 80 workspaces. Between its two locations in the St. Louis area, Office Evolution supports approximately 300 businesses—many of which are in the legal, financial, and medical industries.

Led by the husband-and-wife team Jon and Mary Jonz, the coworking company is helping area businesses and freelancers rethink their physical footprint.

“For most businesses, their first or second largest expense is real estate,” Jon said. “We offer a flexible solution to work that supports the post-pandemic need to balance working from home, and working in an office.”

Each location offers a mix of dedicated office areas, desk space, and day offices, among other options. This selection is designed to meet the needs of the individual members, as some need an office all day every day while others only a few times a week. Most members are “solopreneurs” (that is, people in business for themselves), and the Jonzes and their team say they focus on collaborating with companies to put them in the best positions to succeed.

“Oftentimes, that means reducing their space footprint and getting employees coworking or flex office plans closer to their homes,” Mary said. “We help teams get together and, at the same time, help individuals get some peace and quiet so they can get tasks done. For smaller businesses, it’s a professional place to operate with a built-in staff and meeting space for client interactions that’s not their home or a coffee shop.”

The new space in Creve Coeur is similar to its counterpart in Clayton. Both have approximately 50 offices in 14,000 square feet, offering various services and amenities, including high-speed internet, an onsite cafe, a full-service fitness center, printing, and more.

Each differs in clientele. The Clayton location attracts businesses and individuals seeking a class-A office space close to the Clayton central business district, courthouse, and other services. The Creve Coeur office caters more to lawyers and financial advisors. Given its proximity to both BJC and Mercy Hospital, this location also serves members of the region’s medical community.

The couple has found that individuals in mature businesses stay members the longest. Some have been in their Clayton space for more than 15 years. Conversely, many of the startup businesses eventually expand into their own office space. No matter the length of a person’s stay or the nature of their business, the Jonzes say Office Evolution’s St. Louis locations are committed to a central idea: high-quality service.

“Our approach to coworking is very different from our competitors in that we recognize a strong element of hospitality in how we support our members,” Mary said. “We have introduced this in Clayton and look forward to taking service to the next level in Creve Coeur.”
