Why Franchise Instead of Going Out on My Own

Entrepreneurs are faced with many questions to consider when looking at franchises and business opportunities. One of those questions is whether to buy a franchise instead of starting out on your own.

When you buy a franchise, you are buying into a proven business model that has been duplicated by other business owners. These business owners were once in the same shoes you are evaluating all the options and avenues of business ownership. With a franchise system, you are able to adopt economies of scale and mass purchasing power before you even open your doors. Independent businesses often take years to build these qualities and some never do.

Franchisees have the opportunity to participate in mentor programs, peer groups, and advisory boards to help make important business decisions together. Although each franchisee operates independently as a separate business, they are able to turn to other business owners for strategy and growth initiatives.

Our EmbroidMe franchisees participate in a National Advertising Fund, Advisory Board, and Mentor Program. Franchisees are assigned a Mentor to help them as they launch their new business and are there to answer the many questions they will have during their first few years. Although it may sound cliche, it is good to be in business for yourself but not by yourself.
